CLOUDS, COWS AND A DOG
THE SKY
AROUND THE BLOCK
I haven't been out for a long walk for some time. Today I took a walk around my block. There are so many changes going on. Also autumn is arriving slowly, yay! It's my favourite season.
Last picture shows one of my favourite street art in the city "Rüebli".
A VULCANO TOUR
Holidays started in the beautiful city of Napoli. We enjoyed few sunny days there before we started to explore the surroundings. We took long walks, found hidden treasures in the city, ate pizza Napoli and sorbetto al limone and enjoyed life.
On our way south we visited the sites of Pompeii, where I was left speechless by the beauty of this ancient city. The light there eypecially in the thermal bath was so amazing.
And then we saw the Vesivio on the horizon.
And of course we took a closer look. I am so fascinated by vulcanos - there is so much attraction. Look at all the different colors and textures!
After driving back to Napoli we took the ferry and enjoyed the view back.
After a night on the ferry the Stromboli appeared with the first rays of the sun on the horizon. I was deeply impressed by its first view and the small black smoke clouds that covered the top.
Of course I had to hike up that vulcano to see the crater. The way up was impressive - nature changed so much on the way up. We arrived at the top at sunset and could get a quick look into the active crater. The way down was really adventurous, we took a quick route through a huge ash field.
Of course our hotel had a room with vulcano view.
We took another boat trip around the island to see the sciara del fuoco where the lava gets into the sea.
Oh, I love black beaches!
Back on the mainland we went to the see the Amalfi Coast and spend some days in Positano to relax.
ITALY AGAIN AND A LITTLE BIT GIRO
BOLOGNA
Last weekend we too a really laid back trip trip Bologna. And guess what... it was awesome because it's in Italia, my favourite country of all. Look!
The visit of the anatomical theatre of the Archiginnasio was breathtaking. All the details!
I loved the facade details with the bricks so much and the food. I loved the food there. There is for sure a reason why Bologna is also called "the fat".
It felt like 1000 steps to the top but the view from the Azzoguidi Tower was so beautiful.
In this the San Petronio basilica you can see the relic of Petrus and as you can see it is still not finished.
Our Sunday stroll took us up the hill to the Santuario della Madonna di San Luca and it's beautiful view.
Our Aibnb apartment had such a cool kitchen that I had to cook some pasta :)
We also brought some souvenirs back home from the very nice and small beer shop Il Pretesto.
And guess where I go tomorrow?
BERLIN
BÄRLAUCHPESTO WITH FRIENDS
What a fun day! Go to the woods and get some Bärlauch, make some delicious pesto out of it and when you're as motivated as we were - make your own pasta and enjoy an wonderful meal!
HAPPY EASTER!
4 YEARS...
Exactly four years ago I left Vienna with a sad heart and moved to Zurich - packed up with hopes and wishes, afraid of nothing. Reality hit me hard...
Here are some things that happened, that wondered, that impressed and left me stunning over the last four years in beautiful Swissneyland (in completely random order).
Sadly the Ausländerausweis is the most important thing for a foreigner who lives in Switzerland.
This pic was taken when I had my first serious mountain hike to the Gleckstein Hütte, I like to call it the suicide hike, because it was at some parts little bit frightening. But I am happy that I did it!
Can you believe that Formula 1 is not my number one sports anymore? Slowly, since cycling myself with a racing bike, I startet to like this kind of sport so much more. I like to visit the Tour de France, the Giro d'Italia and of course the Tour de Suisse since I live here.
Sadly this happens not often enough... we call it Art Night and we always have lots of fun.
What I don't understand is why someone would climb a mountain when there is a comfortable train to the top?
I definitely love to climb a mountain when you get a view like this!
One of the things that makes me so happy here is my garden (haha look at my face)! I enjoy spending time there, having garden parties, digging in the dirt or just have a beer after work. Great!
Two years ago I started to be more creative again. Here it all began...
And on a cold an rainy November night I finally got to meet my icon in person. Thank you Amanda for everything!
I also started being a lover of excellent tasting IPAs.
The view from my living room.
During my holiday in sunny California I fell so much in love with these cute succulents, that I started propagating and growing them by myself.
This is how I move around the city everyday.
Sure we still now our roots and celebrate some Austrian holidays, like the Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria.
This one was the first concrete thing I ever made, since then I made hundreds and I still love working with concrete so much!
What always amazes me in this city is the huge amount of cranes everywhere - being an architect here is just awesome!
One of my favourite shops in the city and a must stop at every sightseeing tour :)
I am not the biggest fan of this building but in the right context it looks pretty cool and I cycled by everyday for more than 3,5 years.
Also pretty impressive is the amount of train tracks that cuts the city in two parts...
...and the of course the bridge that connects the two parts again!
I don't know why but here every sunset is pretty spectacular.
Did I mention that the most beautiful cows live in the Swiss Alps?
There are really awesome mountains to climb. Look!
This summer I started to drink espresso.

VIENNA CALLING
After beeing so touristy all over the weekend we even ate a Wiener Schnitzl at Figlmüller and it was delicious!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
AWESOME THINGS I WANT IN MY OFFICE
KIVO noise reducing moduls
BUZZI Cockpit to hide yourself BUZZI Shade to hide others
sitting in in the office with a dark thundercloud makes everything better for sure, look here!
the "experimental work landscape" from RAAAF is just amazing
TROPICAL PARADISE
A trip to the Stadtgärnterei is especially on a cold and rainy winter day like a trip to a tropical paradise.
BEER, WAFFLES, FRIES AND CHOCOLATE
...what do you wish more?
Brussels was super trip for the celebrating of new year. The city is really beautiful, but have a look yourself.
Besides drinking excellent beer and eating fine food, there was also a little bit of sightseeing.
After curing our hangover from celebrating the new year with tasty waffles we visited the Atomium, which for me is complete awesomeness. Sadly the weather was little bit to cold to stand two hours in the row for getting inside, but I loved it anyway.
We also did a Brussels Beer Tour with a visit to the Cantillon Brewery, which produces Lambic. This brewery is really a Mekka for beer lovers around the world. Some think it's the best beer ever, I am not so sure about that. I was very fascinated that they produce their beers with more that 100 year old equipment.
Also when in Belgium you have to look at some extraordinary oil paintings at the Oldmasters Museum. Oh and the detils
I will definitely come back and every time drinking a Belgian beer I will travel back in mind to this wonderful beer pubs in Brussels.
